Something new things were tried in the store for the trip to Red Hook. During down time some of the crew worked their fancy knot work skills and made necklaces, bracelets and other fun items for sale. (The block earrings are spectacular, btw.) These items sold very well. A store stocking class has been planned. Turk's head's, Matthew Walker's Knot and Monkey's Fists will be taught. Come on down join Patrick and Gina. Learn, practice and help stock the store. Let us know you're joining us by signing up.

Talk like a Pirate Day - This is going to be a fun day. PSPG is partnering with the Independence Seaport Museum to have a full day of family fun. The event is kicking off with some familiar faces from Sidetracked Theatre and continuing with many activities at both the museum and aboard Gazela. The more people we get to sign up for this the more we can do. It will be a ticketed event and (crew dependent) we would like to have square furling demos, our new nav station set up and guided tours. Pirate Garb required.
September 24 - 26
Cabaret Red Light - the second part to the hit series The Seven Deadly Seas. There will be two shows each evening. Since this is a fundraiser for the Guild, please either sign up to work the event or buy a ticket. Sign up will be for each full evening. Pirate Garb (encouraged) or crew shirts.

Anyone interested in helping organize and work Recruitment Events please contact me, Gina at volunteer@gazela.org.
Membership Dues
Our membership rates and benefit levels will be changing in the next few months. We're starting to send out reminders to try to get everyone up to date first. If you can't recall paying your dues in a while, you may have lapsed and not realized it. Paid Member events are starting to be enforced and your dues must be paid before you can sail or get member rewards like as discounted parking.
Penn's Landing is making changes to their parking controls. If you are lapsed, it may take a little while to reinstate you on the parking list, as we can only make changes once a month. There isn't anything we can do, no matter how much we like you and want you to come down and play with us.
